The SH56 is the entry level dual purpose garden blower and vacuum shredder, fitted with a metal rotor blade for shredding the collected material when in vacuum mode, this machine can simultaneously shred and reduced the collected material to less than 10% of the original volume, the organic material can be used directly for composting or mulching. Standard equipment includes: vacuum tube, vacuum bag, blower tube & round nozzle.

The new engine delivers all the power required with less emissions and the new starting system makes starting even simpler. The lower vibration levels allow for longer periods of use with less operator fatigue and improved comfort.

The STIHL vacuum shredders SH 56 and the SH 86 ranges have a robust rotor blade of special steel as a standard feature to shred the collected material. They can be converted to blowers without difficulty using the blower tubes included in the product range. The fallen leaves are guided through the fan as they are picked up and shredded in the process. In ideal cases, the contents can be directly applied to borders as mulch.
