Stihl Online & Mail Order Sales Policy
STIHL Dealer letter Dated July 2006:
"Only experienced users are able to order online through a password protected online shop. Passwords may only be given to such kind of persons/companies and offers may only be visible there. Unrestricted access for online ordering is not acceptable."
A Quote from STIHL Regarding Chainsaws:
"In the wrong, often unskilled hands, they can be potentially dangerous. This is why we consider the internet to be an inappropriate forum for the sale of STIHL products. When an Authorised STIHL Dealer sells a chainsaw or any other STIHL product we expect them to have personal contact with each customer. This ensures that the correct product is selected for their particular requirement, an appropriate handover is carried out to provide awareness of safety precautions and the correct use of each tool, at an appropriate level to suit each individual STIHL customer."
In order for us to comply with the "Online & Mail Order Policy" that has been implemented by Andreas STIHL Ltd, we have moved all Stihl machinery into our secure, password protected ordering section.

The STIHL online sales restriction will only allow access to commercial operators in the Garden and Landscaping business, or to Ground Maintenance operators in the Government sector. Unfortunately no other business can be granted access for online ordering. We will not respond to applications that do not supply the correct information. The restriction also applies to telephone orders.
