Stihl MS171 Chainsaw. New generation high performance chainsaw, the MS171 is ideal for property maintenance. Economical to use, low emissions and easy to operate. Ideally suited for all wood-cutting tasks around the home or garden. The MS171 features new technology including a new engine that combines 4 port technology with stratified scavenging - 70% lower emissions, 20% lower fuel consumption (compared to the MS170). The new AV-system offers 30% reduction in vibration levels whilst maintaining optimal behaviour.

The new air filter system with pre-separation for much longer life, side access chain tensioner, tool-free filler caps make easier re-fuelling, a one piece shroud allows for easy servicing, the MS171 has a Summer/Winter operation shutter for optimal running behaviour, even at low temperatures. Fitted as standard with a 3/8" PMMC3 reduced kickback chain. The MS171 target group is Private users, demanding occasional use.
