The PLM4814 is the professional end full size self propelled petrol lawn mower, fitted with top end features, making this a major player in walk behind, professional grade rotary lawnmowers.

The Makita PLM4814 has a 6 setting height adjustment from 30 to 80mm, a cutting deck width of 50cm and cutting width of 48cm. This model has bearing mounted wheels and a lightweight aluminium deck, mounted to the deck is a powerful 4 stroke Honda engine, driving the 4Cut® blades. Operators benefit from greater comfort with the ErgoMow® Handle, reducing user fatigue.

The PLM4814 is also capable of mulching (requires accessory mulch plug) the grass, into very small sections, and re-applying it to the freshly cut lawn, this helps thicken and feed the grass and, is best used when the lawn is cut regularly.

Makita have given close attention to the design of this mower, giving the PLM4814 some of the best features available in it's class, these include, low vibration levels of just 11 m/sec2 and anti vibration system fitted as standard, single lever adjustment for cutting height, soft grip handle cover, the handle is also adjustable in height and foldable for more compact storage solutions. As with all Makita mowers the PLM4814 is also fitted with the safety Engine Brake Lever, this automatically shuts the engine down when the handles are let go. List Price £916.50 Inc Vat.

Makita Mulch Plug for PLM4811 & 4814

This accessory replaces the grass collection box, blocking the rear chute forcing the cut grass back into the blades for re-shredding, the fine grass is then left on the cut lawn. When keeping your grass cut regularly, mulching is recommended as it will help feed & thicken your grass.
