i-start and i-30

ECHO has made starting effort much easier with two patented systems. The i-start System takes the lead and reduces the effort normally required to pull-start the engine by 75 percent! And the revolutionary i-30 starting technology reduces starting effort by 30 percent. You will appreciate the simplicity and ease of use that i-start™ and i-30 deliver, start after start.

Power Blend® Oil

Power Blend® is synthetic oil that is certified for use in all air-cooled, 2-stroke, outdoor power equipment engines. It meets and exceeds ISO-L-EGD and JASO M345/FC requirements and has superior cleaning capabilities while minimizing exhaust port blockage. Power Blend® oil protects from rust, wear and corrosion, and provides low smoke emissions. An added fuel stabilizer extends fuel life by 200 percent.

Rapid Loader

Tired of the frustration that occurs from winding trimmer line? With Rapid-Loader™ there’s no more mess or fuss. Just insert precut sections of standard trimmer line into the trimmer head and you’re ready to go.

Rapid-Loader heads are available in two-line and three-line configurations and will accept line diameters from .095 in. to .130 in. for engine models under 25 cc, and up to .155 in. for engine models over 25 cc. Available for all ECHO Trimmers and most non-ECHO trimmers, Rapid-Loader makes line changes lightning fast!

Power Boost Vortex

2005 heralds the coming of ECHO’s latest technological innovation - Power Boost Vortex. ECHO continues to build upon its 2-stroke engine achievements combining superior engineering knowledge and manufacturing expertise to produce this latest industry-defining engine technology. Unheard-of clearance tolerances are enabled through patented machining techniques, thereby taking 2-stroke engine design to even greater efficiency and performance.

Power Boost Vortex engines feature unsurpassed friction reduction, unrivalled heat dissipation and incomparable acceleration. A reduction in friction produces less heat, less wear and less lubrication load. Increased cooling fin area and enhanced cooling innovations lead to greater heat dissipation and a longer lasting engine. Increased acceleration from less friction and less cylinder drag results in more power and performance.

A Power Boost Vortex engine doesn’t require oil changes or valve adjustments. It doesn’t have the additional weight associated with other engine technologies, and it burns fuel more cleanly and more efficiently. Like its predecessor, Power Boost Tornado, it’s rated at 300 hours and meets all EPA and CARB emissions standards. The ingenuity is Low Friction Technology, and the innovation is Power Boost Vortex.

Rotational Control

"Rotational Control" design reduces the effort required to keep the blower from rotating in towards the operator's legs (like most handheld models do) and actually delivers a slight pull away from the operator. The effect makes the blower easier to handle and reduces stress on the operator's wrist and forearm.
